Oh, and would you pls care to tell about the human toilet training? Do you know whether old (7 + 8 yrs) cats can also learn this?
Apparently there is even an example of a 10 year old cat that was able to learn. It's definitely harder when they are older though.
Another interesting example I heard about is "Lucky", the three-legged cat, who apparently manages to avail himself quite well despite his handicap.. :>
Though I'm struggling to wrap my head around how she can get on the toilet seat without falling in..
Cats can balance really well. They are naturally agile and a sturdy toilet seat is absolutely no problem to balance on. :> Although, you do have to wait until they are about 3 months old before you start, because prior to that kittens are still a bit unsteady, and crucially, small enough to possibly disappear down the u-bend if they were to fall in.
And does she remember to flush afterwards, or does she just wait for you to discover it for yourself?
Some cats do learn how to flush as well, and then they tend to do it constantly! They do it over and over and over because they like the noise and the swirly water patterns. In the USA where you actually get a bill for the amount of water you use, there are stories of people receiving $800 water bills because while they are out at work during the day, the cat was just constantly flushing the toilet!
As for Fluffy specifically, in theory she just leaves it and we find it later on (it's a good thing water covers smells really well!)
But in practice Fluf seems to like it best when she has some company, so we normally hear a lot of mjauing and scratching around from her when she needs to go. heh.
