help me find a game
« on: July 30, 2009, 03:19:33 AM »
This is a thread for helping gamers that wanted games in their whole life but now have forgotten how they look like or so (look at the this right request from me down here),but still want them and need help finding them

guys,i need help at a game i loved to play as a kid,i dont know its name and i need its name if im gonna buy it,but i have some clues, there are 4 playable ages and one unplayable and each of the ages have its own character with a magnet,1 stone age with a aerodactyl,2 medieval age with a dragon,3modern age with a chopper,4future age with a saucer and the al playable superfuture age with no characther, the thing is you have to use the characther's magnet to assemble parts of the tank, there are 4 components that are neded to make the tank work, but you can add also a bit more,so the components are hull (racing, water resistant,...),engines,weapons as flamethrower, neutron bomb,...,and the radar if you are going to give it orders.the graphics are like just the stepping into the 3-d world or a bit sooner.

if you have more questions or need more clues, just post

I've no idea what it is but it sounds interesting!

I'm still looking for an old DOS RPG. It was shareware and the graphics were all in one of those graphics modes where the pixels are taller than they are wide. The view was top-down. You started in a town (duh), and when you left the town you were placed in a world map, with the same top down view. Moving around the world map sometimes led to random battles which would again be in a top down view but this time limited to a small area, and you could run away by walking off the edge of the map, as long as none of your party was next to an enemy at the time. You could buy horses, recruit team members, etc. It was really good. The shareware version had one chapter, which ended when you found the first piece of some legendary golden armour or something.

Sadly not, it was graphical, not a RL.

@ Alex, the game you are describing sounds a bit like The Magic Candle, but sadly no Magical Golden Armor. So I'm guessing that is not it.

How old is the game?  Is it actual graphics, or more like just pixels?

Pixel art, fairly low res. Definitely tall pixels.

the graphics were lower quality than this I think. Well when I say lower quality I think it had more colour, but the pixel size of the art was smaller due to the tall pixels... ah I dunno.
