We have a winner  ;D It's a pretty entertaining game although, like any mysterious dungeon title it takes a bit of time to feel like you're making lasting progress ^^

It looks like some sort of Sega game based on the graphics, but I could be wrong.

I thought I was a gamer...and I am, but I'm not a console gamer.  I'm pretty darn good at the PC games (been playing them for about 25 years now...before DOS even!), but I'm pretty horrible on the console games (which this one obviously is).

Since it has been more than 3 days, would you fill us in on the answer Alex?

Oh, yeah. That is Fire and Ice, which I played on the Amiga. Great game, and iirc the last shining effort from Andrew Braybrook, who came up with some absolute classics on the C64.
