There is no map editor. The custom maps were written by hand, but the version of the game that allows custom maps is not supported any more. The new version, Eufloria HD, will support custom maps at some time in the future.

:-[You mean the new version does not support the custom mode like usual?
Oh,what a pity!
I am sure there was a map editor before, but now the link to download it is not available.
Anyway,I can write it by hand .:)
I think it is more interesting to customize a map~

I think sillytuna said that the new version will support custom maps when it is released properly early next year.

Thanks:

I think someone did make some kind of editor a while back.

Eufloria HD also works from Lua scripts which you can edit right now actually. However, we'll support custom levels and stories properly - so you can load them without overwriting existing files - when we release PC/Mac/Linux officially. We want to add some more modding commands.

Does HD support custom maps? I knew that we could edit the main levels, but that's a bit dodgy if you mess up and lose the original...

It will do for definite when released all polished up.

The basic lua commands aren't going to change (certainly not much) but more will be added.

If anyone wanted to play with mods now, all that's needed is a simple installation tool that switches the story levels  between mods and original levels. I have no idea if this is easy to do on mac or Linux since I've not looked at the packaging, but it'd be easy on pc.

On pc, the levels are in res/win32 I think. Also check support.lua for support functions and default.lua for default settings in normal mode (rather than relaxed).

(from memory)
