One of Team Eufloria, Dugan (artist), worked on a funky little title for PlayStation Mobile. It's a Defender clone flavoured with kittens. It's a good blast on the Vita (look for the PSM store). Aqua Kitty!

I would totally play that if it were on PS3 or PC! Looks cute! Pixel graphics? Check! Ship at sea? Check! Fishing Kitties?! Super-check :D

Need to find out more about this!

I own this ;D

It's a little tricky but it's better than most stuff I have on my Vita!

Ok here goes..

Well Dugan from Tikipod has some ideas about the music sounding a bit like Turrican or R-Type. This was a great starting point seeing as my musical heroes were guys like Chris Huelsbeck & Rob Hubbard so I did a few tracks and we settled on a style early on.

The soundtrack uses a lot of chip emulation to generate the synths, when I think about it I probably did the whole soundtrack with the ymVST (an Atari ST chipsound synth).

It's very much contemporary new school production techniques vs old school chiptune synths, so the drums are styled around 8-bit sounds but have the punch of an electro kick. Plus I put a sub under the basslines to give it extra beef :)

Yeah so theres alot of influence in there from games like Turrican, Phantoms of the Asteroid, Last V8, Apidya, Wizball + more. The Transformers animated soundtrack is always a big influence for me aswell.

Had a lot of fun writing it and I'm really happy with the result :)

Mark
