ULTIMATE DESTROY
« on: February 06, 2011, 11:55:36 PM »
I wrote a song. :>
It's here: click (mp3, 192kbps, 4.9meg)

Okok, so there's a story behind this one.  It was Saturday night and I was out at a friend's house.  It was very much an alcohol-fuelled gathering (I was the only one not drinking, but that's another story).  I returned home at around 2am to discover the cat had broken into my room and pissed on my bed.

I spent about an hour removing the bed sheets and getting everything washed, then when the duvet was drying on the rack, I realised I had nowhere to sleep.  So I came over here to my battlestation, and I switched on all my Devices and I expressed my frustration by writing a tune.

I've since decided to just leave it with the working title I happened to choose at 3am on Sunday morning.  It was done by Sunday evening, which is incredibly fast compared to my normal.  All feedback and constructive criticism appreciated.. :>

The link now points to the latest version of this song, which I am thinking will be the final one.

I'm impressed, It's a lot slower than I tend to like my electronic music for just listening to but it'd definitely work in a game soundtrack. I can really picture it in a side-scrolling shooter or run'n'gun platformer.

Thanks!

I'd love to design music for computer games.  I've had a few people contact me in the past about it but unfortunately nothing has ever materialised.

I've heard it's incredibly hard to get into; you basically have to build a time machine and change events in the past such that in the present, you're already a music composer for games.  heh.
